Getting a building condition assessment is an essential step toward making informed decisions that can significantly affect your commercial real estate bid. SLA offer building Condition Assessment service for several types of construction.  

The building condition assessment report will indicate whether you need to do repairs in the short term, as well as what will be required in the longer term, complete with estimated costs. Specifically, a building condition assessment will evaluate the condition of the following but not limited to:

• Structural Stability:  How is the structural soundness of a home or building's load-bearing components such as the foundation, joists, beams, trusses, or columns/posts? Are there cracks in the foundation and visible defects in the structure system? Is there any leakage in the basement? 
• Exterior Building components:   How old is the roofing system, exterior finishes, windows, doors, stairs, etc.? If required to be replaced, how much is the estimated cost?
• Electromechanical Systems: What is the condition of electrical, heating ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing and conveyance systems and how much longer will it last?
• Interior building components: Have the interior finishes components been updated?
• Site Exterior Work: Have the hard landscaping (pavement, curbs, loading docks, and walks), soft landscaping, irrigation, site drainage, exterior lighting, walls, fencing/railings, and signage been well maintained?
• Compliance with the Codes: Are Fire-protection and life safety systems (building exist systems, fire alarm systems and fire suppression systems) up to codes and standards?
